Starbucks has its own milk disc unlike the one used by both Maxwell House and Gevalia. I did not find the milk sweet, just better - there was less of a cooked milk flavor. And, my milk discs did not leak. The espresso, as others have noted, is vastly superior to the Maxwell House or Gevalia brands. The Starbucks strong but not bitter espresso discs are so good I hope that in the future they will be available for purchase separately.I added a picture of the finished drink, which layers nicely and has a luxurious amount of foam. The cup in the photo holds 8 ounces filled to the brim. The cappuccino has 60 calories , 4.5 grams of fat and 3 grams of sugar. The delicious espresso flavor is very present in the cup. This is as close to a coffee shop cappuccino as my Tassimo has produced. It is definitely better than the non-Starbucks varieties but it is a little sweet for my liking. Maybe adding some hot water will help, will try that next.Also - the milk container on this specific drink is a little leaky when taking out of the Tassimo, we made two drinks back to back and same issue both time, never been this bad with other milk based drinks. |
